About Animal Simulator:
Campaign : the campaign is great, it offers fun challenges and allows you to explore the game at a nice pace, it took about 2 hours to finish it, even when struggling and finding the cheese. HOWEVER they have not touched it or added new maps since including the new units and you can therefore not use the new units in the campaign which is a Terrible shame because this means you’ll have to make your own fun with them. FPS mode : this gets it’s own topic because on one hand it’s awesome to be in the battle among your army fighting it out. but on the other hand it’s very boring and is by far the least fleshed out concept inside of the game. The guns feel very weak, it really feels like an after thought, it would also be better if i didn’t have to select my character when starting the battle, either start me in FPS mode and let me exit it or let me press F to just go into fps mode. Sandbox : This is where you’ll spend most of your time and i feel like this was always the intention to kindof just fiddle around and make whatever you want no matter how ridiculous it may be and i’m mega impressed with the the amount of freedom we get slapping stuff together and it all just works ! and while the freecam controlls are little awkward and the lack of control on the slowmo is mildly disappointing it’s servicable to have a couple hours of fun to express your creativity. Unit Creator : this is obviously also a massive thing in this game and it functions pretty amazingly, you can pick a base and this is essentially how your creation will move around, and from there on out you can just slap crap on top of it as you see fit, the menu’s aren’t the greatest, it takes a lot of clicking around to really find what you’re looking for which is a common theme in this game.
