Overview Boulder Island:
The Knights and the Northern Pirates were cursed to become undead when they competed for the holy weapon. The hero who encountered the shipwreck will fight for survival. You can only survive by using the resources on the island. Do your best to solve the curse puzzle. This is a first-person action game. Players can obtain materials and equip weapons by collecting and defeating enemies to complete the tasks of survival and exploration in the island. Both of the Guacamelee titles have to be some of the most underrated metroidvanias out there. The art direction, music, combat, platforming, story, everything works so perfectly together into one of the best and most entertaining metroidvanias I’ve ever played, which is quite a bit considering it’s my favorite and most frequent videogame genre. It’s incredibly fun from start to finish, there’s so much to explore and find, so many challenges to beat, and the combat alone is so creative, responsive, satisfying and full of depth it could be its own thing entirely Guacamelee 2 is a game that improves from the 1st game in many ways, the graphics, music, enemy desigh and variety and story are a lot better than the previous game, you also get an improved chicken form with it’s own moveset and challenges. But the thig is, this game is not perfect, the main complain this game has its the difficulty, and i can see why. There’s a lot rooms in this game with insta-kill hazads, from lava, to spikes, to saw blades, you will be asked to do over a dozen movements to keep moving and a single mistake will make you do the whole section again, sometimes it feels like the game is asking you to do too much and the controls, and overall movement are just not optmized for the task.
