About Boxing Simulator:
In short – Fully licensed soundtrack gets the hairs up when you getting battered, for sure. Overpriced, but great fun. Its polished. (Yep Eye of the Tiger) In Summary – Still think launch price is high but More depth than you think as all secondary boxers have some attention with dialogue and story. Playing as Luke O’Grady the limited Irish scrapper is very enjoyable and the over the hill ‘El Tigre’ with debt to the REAL Canon Rocky businessmen Gazzo are particularly good fun. Legends Rocky, Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang and Ivan Drago get their due attentions too, so learn that Guard and Dodge button. TLDR: “I Will Break you!” Great fighting game for same screen Versus with friends!! Old school street fighter AI. The Good: 1) You and your friends will button mash and smack talk for hours 2) runs 4k60 epic on 2080S with no trouble 3) Actual Characters and names from the movies (including some I didn’t see lul) 4) Single player arcade mode is average, but some other Wrestling and MMA games are delayed. 5) TONS of different stories and Boxers. 6) It’s definitely a button masher – Beginner and experienced players can have fun. 6) “Eye Of the Tiger” Plays on an endless loop The Bad: 1) they Spent so much on character, music, and movie licensing there was nothing left over for developers to code the menus and story. a) Menus are PS1 lvl basic. b) Chapter in a story = 8-12 comic book freeze frame style with grunting instead of voice acting. but lets be honest, we’re here to box not retell every scene of every movie. 2) AI is like old school street fighter. 2 – It will continue to get more and more ridiculous as your win streak increases. After 3 losses in a row, AI will restart the curve from the start point.. 3) “Eye Of the Tiger” Plays on an endless loop The Verdict if you want to box against your buds in the same room and talk some smack, buy it right now. If you want only the single player experience – wait for a sale, Sly Stallone’s voice double’s Grunting will still be there 🙂
