About Clicker Madnes:
CH2 had a pretty rough development. Crashes, bugs, performance issues and on top an endgame system with Gilding and World Traits which were pretty much disliked by everyone. (and I think even the devs included) With that, and no changes in sight, over 2 years, the game had an awful decline in player interest. But Gilding and those nasty World Traits are in the past now and it’s on to a new era where Ascending and Transcending is endgame now. Ascending is unlocked when you clear a Star System (30 worlds with Cid, 50 with Cursor) and contrary to Gilding it doesn’t reset your stats AT all. You lose all skill points in the tree and with that all special traits and skills which are called Flammables but you also get a huge damage boost in exchange. With that system you won’t recreate the same build over and over again because it’ll be important, like CH1, to also balance your other stats which seem totally unsexy at first (+1.5% Tresure Chest Chance? Yes please!) After some ascensions it’s time to transcend which resets EVERYTHING but you also get points (Hero Souls) with which you can permanently boost Skill tree node values and get other, even more special traits. Overall I think they absolutely nailed the gameplay loop now with these 2 new systems and with that I also think CH2 has surpassed CH1. With the new update I can strongly recommend it to fans of incremental games and even though the price seems steep, there are no micro transactions, character unlocks or any other BS that the gaming community at large despises. Pretty much all reviews that criticize the endgame are obsolete now. Out of respect for the devs I wish those reviewers would take another shot at it.
