About Da Hood:
A lot of the negative reviews for this game are way overdone. It’s certainly not perfect and there are definitely opportunities for improvement but some of these negative reviews are just absolutely ridiculous. The biggest drawback to Hood was that when it launched it didn’t have cross-play functionality and had a very low PC player base. Adding cross-play and the game going free to play on PS+ helped alleviate a lot of that. While still not a large player base there is enough to reliably find games for pvp. In some ways, I prefer the smaller community as you will regularly see players from previous matches. The game play itself I find highly enjoyable, each character has a unique play style and fits various roles depending on what you like, your team needs and the strategy you employ. At high skill levels the ranged characters can feel a bit strong but there are plenty of ways to be creative and strategic to negate this. Any discussion of hackers is complete nonsense as I’ve logged over 200+ play time hours and am confident I’ve never come across a hacker. I suspect this is a lot of cry hards, as when you die there is no death cam to conveniently show you where the player who killed you is located. In the case of getting sniped at long range by a Robin it can be frustrating, but I prefer not having some rage queen know exactly where I am to come hunt me on their next spawn. It requires you to actually learn the maps, where the danger places are and how to better navigate around cover.
