About Dance Moms:
Disclaimer: This post is made to the noobs of rhythm games(like me!). I come from a long background of a multitude of different rhythm games (osu!, taiko, muse dash, areca, quaver) if you couldn’t tell. This game is absolutely amazing, the design is flushed out, completely bugless, no latency issues, and the charts (or maps) are stunning. Each map (or chart) is made with great care and storyboarding(background graphics) is absolutely beautiful and the best I have ever seen. HOWEVER, the biggest problem I have with this game and hence this recommendation is the inability to continue if one note is missed. This gets especially frustrating on player-made charts (or maps) where the map (or chart) gimmicks catch you off-guard, forcing you to replay large sections of the chart (or map) – only to miss a note at the same exact place (then do that another 100 times). This absolutely kills the enjoyability and the artistry of the map (or chart) maker. This post is going to fall on deaf ears as the “haters gonna hate” post on the player base and developer, but this a warning to all new players (or n00b players like me) looking to play this game. This game is made by Ben Shapiro – facts don’t care about your feelings. Edit: Great feedback keep them coming! This game is thoroughly challenging and fun, slowly building your skills through the lessons before you play through the levels (and it even allows you to replay through the lessons if you need it!). I will probably play this game over and over, even once I finish each level. Revisiting the levels has proven to be fun time and time again. The music and visuals are beautiful and pull you back for more. I would (and have) recommend this game to any one, but especially music lovers.
