About Dream Topia Roleplay:
I thought I knew simracing before I got Assetto Corsa. I was lying to myself. AC breathes, sleeps and craps simracing through its every pore. I can keep on going like this until I am blue in the face, but what follows should put all doubt out of your mind: If you want a realistic driving / racing sim – get Assetto Corsa. Other sims are not bad and there may even be some that looks better (slightly), but if you want to even get close to feeling what it may be like to drive a Nissan Nismo GT3 car around Spa you won’t find another title that gives you the same thrills and spills. This sim will PUNISH you if rock up with the wrong gear. This is specifically mentioned in the PRO’s section because it’s a good thing. If you don’t believe it to be a good thing…go play Need for Speed or Forza on the XBox. This is not for you. You CAN drive any car you want on any track you wish with the mouse, keyboard or handheld controller…it does not mean that you should and it certainly does not mean that you should expect to get the same thrills. Period. It’s got a wide variety of different cars that all sound very destinct when in cockpit view. The setup process for any car can either be daunting or easy…depending on the car. Some cars offer massive customisation, others dont. If you want to squeeze every bit of performance out of a car you will have free reign to play around with everything from downforce to tire pressures…camber settings to ride heights. And you can easily feel and detect the small differences each of those adjustments have made if you put the time in to know a car and the track. With a beefy graphics card in your machine (which is not necesarily needed to enjoy it) you can experience absolutely stunning race day graphics with almost no noticable lag or frame drops. Even on lesser GPU’s you can still steak teh settings to get a reasonable looking experience that wont detract too much from the experience. It says a lot about the optomisation Kunis has done. There’s a very large modding community for this title. Tracks, new cars and in-sim apps are constantly released that enhances the experience. There’s actually some apps and HUD elements you MUST install to fully appreciate a great online racing experience.
