Overview Dungeon Munchies:
Hunt down monsters to cook and eat them! You’ve been revived in a massive underground complex and you must leave this bizarre facility. Aided by the undead Necro-Chef Simmer, you must stay safe, get fed and find a way to get out. Dungeon Munchies is a side-scrolling action RPG with a focus on hunting down creatures, cooking them, and eating dishes to gain certain abilities. The combination of dishes you choose to eat will impact your entire play style. With a stomach that can only take seven dishes, you must put together a meal that maximises your abilities. Guava juice, grilled shrimp, or crab stirfry may mean the difference between health recovery, damage output or a watery shield. In this day and age, ingredients are hard to come by. You should be prepared to face off electrical snails, razor-sharp shrimp claws, and laser wasps to get the delicious parts you need. From the self-professed-AAA-license-holding necro-chef, to the diabolical voodoo “Lord of the Forest”, to the radical revolutionaries of the fruit revolution, everyone wants you to do their thing, but no one’s really right in the head. What’s really happening down in this dungeon.
Dungeon Munchies Pre-Installed:
Dungeon Munchies is a side scrolling dungeon crawler with flavor. And yes, pun intended. You awaken by means of necromancy by the necro-cook Simmer. And you’re put straight to work! You make your way through the massive underground facility, fighting creatures along the way. Each creature drops items you can use to cook with. And each cooked or crafted item is added to your inventory or abilities for use and lasts forever. This unique pixel art game has humor and life that isn’t all that common today. The game play is tight and responsive. There are a lot of things to fall in love with here! Just note that boss fights can end up ridiculously easy if you pay attention to what food you equip. I shake up my loadout regularly to try and appreciate the many different playstyles (there’s lots!), and I’ve found that pretty much everything breaks the game. XD The final boss in chapter 1 for example went down in ~1 minute for me, completely without damaging me because I nullified all damage. It seemed like a very well made and fun boss fight… unfortunately I didn’t experience it because I was able to just ignore everything and hit the boss really hard.
