About Feather Family:
As Robin Sharma said – ‘The very nature of being a human is we are built to progress, we are built to want. Our brain craves novelty and we are most alive when we are progressing towards our mighty mission.’ The modern society embraces this same idea and it applies to every known medium, including video games. You all are familiar with this – achievements, quests, invisible pointers, to, well, point us to do something to keep occupied. Q is, how the one can play & enjoy the game with ‘no enemies, no combat, no threats’ and basically, without any goal? The answer is – you get away from the familiar. Imagine being a bird on the wild, untamed island(s) and all you know is that you have wings and you can fly. The rest is mystery because game told you nothing. You’re on your own to explore the world and find a ‘meaning’ of the game. At first, it may appear quiet, but soon you’ll notice that everything around feels alive – as if Feather invites you to interact with it and curious minds won’t be disappointed! You may also encounter other birds – fellow players, since the game has ‘passive multiplayer’, as developers describe it. You can communicate, by tweeting to each other. Everything seems wonderful, but what about something to achieve? Goals’ give you a short-term perspective (in video games anyway). There’s something to do and once you’ve done everything, you will either feel the satisfaction by completing it or the desire to get more content.
