About Livetopia:
Good game. Worth getting on sale. If you’re a golf fan or a tycoon fan. Old Sid Meirs Golf fans would like this. I haven’t used too much of the super crazy wacky add on for my course. If that is what might turn you off it isn’t necessary. It does have a somewhat futuristic aesthetic, but I don’t think its too overwhelming if you want to avoid it. Some of those items are just good convenient quality of life items. If you want the ball to roll more just add a booster. If you want people to shoot at a certain part of the hole more put a fake green down. Some it just actually helps you create a more dynamic course. Want your guests to move around faster? There’s a thing for that. Some of the stuff is just fun. AND you can build a traditional golf course. The terrain editor is really good and fun. It has a lot of options. There are some weak parts of the game, but they don’t ruin it. The physics on the bounces and the green may be a little weird at times. The depth in your playable golf character is basic. The progression system is basic. You just earn it by playing. It’d be nice to have more depth there. The shot shape selecting isn’t there really. But it’s still fun to “play” your course. Sometimes the AI is dumb. Nothing terrible. It feels pretty complete. If you’re not a golfer. It’s still a fun little tycoon game. Nothing complicated or hard I’d say, but its pretty relaxing and charming. Good music. I’d love to see the game get more support so the dev can add more depth to the systems in place.j It fills the golf tycoon hole in me that sid meirs golf left there.
