Overview Love on Beach:
John went for an internship at a shop on a tropical island, but it’s more like a holiday. A bit different approach to Visual Novel with multiple dating events and endings. That being said, the campaign is a bit short. It’s good because sometimes I like reading short novels…but there are times I wished it lasted a bit longer! The AI in game is perfectly fine to “pick up and play,” but my biggest concern is the semi-random map generation. After playing through the campaign I recognize the tricks to the missions, but playing it through for the first time some maps could get a little frustrating. It is important to note, that this isn’t a deal breaker for me. The random generation helps to tell and sell the story of “Tooth and Tail,” (i.e. fog of war). It also forces the player to move about the map, make decisions/mistakes. This is not designed as a turtle game. Is this a game you can play one handed? No. You need both hands and quite a bit of attention to this fast paced game. Not something I could play and be a Parent at the same time…but it is easy to step away from when needed! And because the missions are fairly short on average, getting back to speed is fairly easy to do. Is also one I wouldn’t introduce to my kid until they were older and capable of having discussions about the story and subject matter. Gorgeous lil’ tactical! The art and music are both really beautiful which Ⅰ think is what really attracts me to it, the strategy is fun but does feel somewhat simpler compared to other similar games, saying that Ⅰ only have 10 hours and spent most of that in the single player campaign.
