About Phantom Forces:
This game rules and it’s a tragedy that its player base is so small. You’re dependent on other players dying to get extra health, and its current popularity it still works fine but it can’t really afford to shrink. Granted, after 11 hours the only thing left to do is trying to get all the whip upgrades and fill out all the relic slots, so in terms of overall content there could be more, but that’s obviously being worked on. Movement feels great, the sound design is AWESOME and while you will start recognising the rooms, there’s enough randomised elements inside each one that you’ll never memorise a whole section. Biggest advice I’d have for potential buyers is that while the whole “interacting with the phantoms of dead players” is the most unique thing about the game, what matters is that you enjoy first person parkour/skill based movement games. If you love Mirror’s Edge, TF2, OW, Quake or any first person speedrun, you’ll love this too.Its a fun and unique game and the devs are at least trying to listen to the community. Its a really one of a kind game but I will say its a lot more difficult then it was on release, you now only start with one heart which can lead to some annoying moments. However I think the phantom system is cool and I get why the devs made the change, I wish you didn’t lose your whip though.
