About Phantom Forces:
The most recent update removed all the joy and freedom of movement from the game, which in a game based entirely around movement, is a massive mistake. I cannot recommend the game in this state. The devs have listened to the major outcry from the community and reverted the changes to the movement system, I am immensely happy to see a dev team both admit a mistake and be willing to take the drastic step of reverting to an older system to fix it.Games good, just heart system currently in place is not good for new players and depends on if players are active within the game. EX: run with 20 souls, you can get 6 hears in first few areas for doing almost nothing vs a run with 2 souls or none getting no extra health. Just a unneeded randomized feature. A fair and intense roguelike game. Fair in that all the traps have tells to them and if you don’t rush you won’t get hit. Game is as difficult as you want it to be with branching paths. Intense in that you will have a guardian chasing you and becomes more aggressive each level. The hook of this game is other player ghosts are seen. There isn’t as many people playing these days which is a shame because seeing a mob of like 50 of them is a sight to behold. Their deaths would make reaching the final areas easier to reach (each one gives a potential max health upgrade). It basically encourages people to go deeper in the temple and balances the difficulty in a natural way.
