About Retail Tycoon 2:
A great concept that has been executed pretty damn well. There are a few bugs and complaints, which I detail below. But, I don’t think there’s any issue that should prevent you from enjoying this game if you like simulation-type games. The devs, or dev, has put a significant amount of sweat equity into making this game. It’s not a AAA game, its an indie dev. This goes to show you that even with a limited budget, games such as this are possible to make and we’re all the better for it. There are different types of products you can sell i.e. men’s clothing, women’s clothing, groceries and electronics. Each of these overarching products then has a subset of products you can focus on. For example, in men’s clothing you can focus on pants, shirts or shoes. If you want to go the grocery route you can focus on beer, liquor, soft drinks etc. Of course, this is campaign mode. If you want to unlock everything and sell pizza beside computer mice you can bypass campaign mode and do that as well! You can increase your staff break room, your storage room and of course your entire store as you grow. More space for more storage and product variety as your sales increase etc. etc. You can hire employees to run the cash register, stock products, in-store person to person sales and sit on an office computer and generate local ADs. You will then plan each of their days i.e. length of workday, breaks, days off and what their function for each day will be i.e. register/stocking/etc.
