About Roblox Casino:
I’ve been playing this since the beta in 2013 (mostly not on Steam) and it’s truly a wonderful game. A mix of mmorpg, casino, tycoon, house designer (in this case, casino and hotels), and city builder. One of the main criticisms I hear is that the game is “p2w”. While you can certainly pay as much as you want to speed up your building progress and profits, there is no way to pay to actually WIN, All the casino games are not impacted at all by money you spend (or don’t spend). The only thing spending money does for you is enhance your own personal progress at building your casino (which impacts absolutely nothing else). Great community. (There are a few stuck up people, but a much lesser % than in most MMOs, and the kindness of everyone else more than makes up for it) Great idea hampered by often poor game design – particularly finding some of the NPCs to give you missions is pretty opaque, a lot of the real estate for the casinos players buy is in the middle of nowhere in terms of proximity to other game content, and the interface is pretty clunky when it comes to handling network time-outs (I have to restart the whole game 90% of the time). It is a great idea there, so I’m still playing. As a poker fan I really like playing poker with money I earnt in-game elsewhere instead of losing all my irl money playing real poker, or playing poker on a poker-exclusive app where you the money you’re betting has no value attached to it.
