About Rolling Thunder:
I don’t have a lot to say about this arcade, other than it’s pretty enjoyable. I have not played the Rolling Thunder which inspired it, but I have played similar arcades from the 80s that are very close to my heart. It’s a simple high-score shooter where you have to use cover, and change the levels – very basic concept, but effective at what it does. Please note that this developer has several games of similar quality, so I would recommend taking a look at all of them (they are free and highly nostalgic). Normally I would ask for some achievements and more variety, but I think the developer is going for that faithful retro design. Even the lack of music during the levels is somewhat charming. If you grew up with the early arcades, you should try all of his games. the game is quite similar to the old arcade game rolling thunder, and is clearly heavily inspired by it. it plays surprisingly well, and I can say I had quite a bit of fun with it (even though I suck at it lmao) if you’re a fan of retro arcade games then definitely give this game and Hijong Park’s other 4 games a try. they’re extremely small and completely free to play, and could easily run on a desktop from the 1990s.This game is a really fun but insanely hard high score action retro style sidescroller. Thats a lot of words, lol. Anyways, it’s hard AF and good with a controller. While it’s not a game you will play often or a lot it is definitely worth playing and seeing how good you can do at it. I got on the high score list but that was yesterday and today I’m no longer up there, competition is getting fierce.
