About Spider:
I don’t post reviews often, but I found it hard to believe anybody would give this a negative review. This is not a “game”, it’s a VR experience and a free promotion to get people excited for the movie. Does it do that? YES! It’s not buggy at all, it’s super polished and really, really cool! Take a close look at Spider-Man in the opening menu before you hit Start, it’s like standing right next to Spidey! Yes, it’s short, because it is obvious it was specifically designed to be a short teaser to get you to want to go see the movie. GET it, EXPERIENCE it, ENJOY it, then DELETE it (or not, I’m going to show it to all my friends/family) and say “thank you” to the people who made this awesome experience possible by going to the theater. Kudos Marvel! I’m 55, never thought I’d see this stuff in my lifetime. This demo is pretty amazing. It’s short. You basically are only shooting webs at things. But its amazing!!! If you take the time to look around, you might even get a sense of vertigo, looking over the edge of the building behind you, or looking down from the crane. The HTC headset I use is pretty low res, you can see the graphics dots in every game you play, but once you get into the surroundings, that goes away. You can web just about everything in the environment. If you can put up with the snarky comments from the suite case ai, for taking to long to accomplish the objectives, just mess around with objects on the roof. When I got to the crane I found I had to use both hands to web it back in place. When I webbed the helicopter, and started swiinging after vulture, I had a moment of nausea though before it cut out. But I was very disappointed the demo was over. I really hope this becomes a full fledged game. I’m really looking forward to the PS4 game coming next year, but this vr experience would really be fun!!
