About Stumble Buddies:
I’m very picky when it comes to rhythm games. I’ve played almost all of them. I gave negative reviews to Dance Collider and Synth Riders even they were close, they are slightly off. It felt like those developers aren’t really experienced in this genre. Like they saw Beat Saber and said “I can do that”. I actually negged Beat Saber for the same reason. You can tell that they don’t have much experience in this genre. I approve of this one. Even with the simple rules, It feels like what you would expect a proper Konami or Nintendo rhythm game to feel like. The maps just flow right and get you amped. The spheres take advantage of large playspaces and get you moving around and reaching. Closest VR thing I would compare it to is Hatsune Miku VR but Stumped has better gameplay. This is a good looking title and the music is well tuned to the action. However the screen can appear cluttered at times with the crystals exploding in front of you along with the score, and everything else going on. But I was able to work out what was going for the most part and enjoy the frantic gameplay. All that said, I had fun playing STUMPER, this is a well-made title with good pacing to keep you engaged, that I’m sure rhythm game fans will enjoy the challenge.
