About Transfur Infection:
I like the idea of this game, but I sadly can’t recommend it in its current state. However, from what I was able to play (due to the sluggish performance & low FPS) I liked what I saw. I think it has potential, but it needs some serious work on the performance front. Based on the reviews and discussions in the forum, this is a common issue for practically everyone that’s played the game. Hopefully the devs will take notice and correct this ASAP. As far as the review, in short – my low down quick & dirty is: if you liked playing TransOcean 1 & 2, you’ll probably like this game. It’s made by the same devs and is basically the same game, just with tractor trailers carrying freight from Point A to Point B. My advice is to wait for a few updates to roll out that fix the performance issues before buying. If and when they do, I’ll change this review to a recommended / thumbs up. My PC specs are listed on my profile for review & comparison. Note – I’ve only tried this on my gaming laptop at the time of this review. I’ve tried it on all my computers, and I get the same performance issues on the others as well. Is it playable? Just barely…not sure about you, but I don’t like to waste my cash ($21.24) on a just barely playable game. To be honest, 4 days now since release and we are yet to have a patch. Due to this, I’m honestly considering a refund, as well as never purchasing a Deck 13 Hamburg or an astragon Entertainment GmbH product again. I think these issues should have been addressed before releasing. I mean what were their test machines, and on what settings did they try the game on?? If you (I do) compare other botched releases to this one, others have worked hard to correct the issues pretty much IMMEDIATELY (i.e. CMS 2018). I for one am not at all sympathetic to these developers having to “research” the cause of their issues. There really shouldn’t be any excuses – it’s practically the same game they’ve produced before (TransOcean), just on land, and…it uses the same ENGINE (Unity)! I’m really not sure why it’s a big surprise to these folks all of a sudden?? At the time of this update, I still stand behind my review as “Not Recommended.” Caveat Emptor.
